History In 2000 the Huddersfield Town Centre Association (HTCA) was created by a union of three groups with a common aim: the promotion of Huddersfield. In 2006, the Association changed its status and became the Huddersfield Town Centre Partnership Limited (HTCPL), a company limited by guarantee. Supported by a matching contribution from Kirklees Council (KC) the Partnership grew significantly. In 2011, with budget cuts within the Council, the Partnership became self-funding and now relies on membership fees, events (Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival) and other promotions to ensure that businesses continue to get the support and promotional opportunities that they have benefited from previously. |
